Sargento Portugal

Sargento Portugal, born José Portugal Neto, is a Brazilian politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2023. Before entering federal politics, he had a long career as a sergeant in the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro State, serving from 2000 to 2022. In his legislative role, he focuses on public security, combating organized crime, and defending the rights of various social groups, including the elderly and people with disabilities.
