A founding member of the Freedom and Solidarity Party, he later became a prominent figure in the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), serving as its parliamentary group deputy chair. Oluç is a vocal critic of Turkey's presidential system and advocates for political solutions regarding the rights of Kurdish and Alevi populations.
