Saruhan Oluç is a Turkish politician and mechanical engineer who serves as a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Born in Istanbul in 1958, he studied at the University of Rhine-Westphalia in Aachen, Germany. Before his parliamentary career, he worked as a journalist for the newspaper BirGün and contributed to encyclopedias focusing on socialist issues. A founding member of the Freedom and Solidarity Party, he later became a prominent figure in the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), serving as its parliamentary group deputy chair. Oluç is a vocal critic of Turkey's presidential system and advocates for political solutions regarding the rights of Kurdish and Alevi populations.
