Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu

Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu is a Turkish medical doctor, human rights activist, and politician serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly. A pulmonologist by profession, he gained prominence for his extensive work in human rights, including his leadership in the MAZLUMDER association and his advocacy for Kurdish rights and victims of state purges. Despite facing legal prosecution, imprisonment, and the temporary revocation of his parliamentary seat due to his social media activity, he was reinstated by the Constitutional Court in 2021.
