Satoshi Ito

Profile

Satoshi Ito is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Liberal Democratic Party. Born in Ibaraki Prefecture, he graduated from Tohoku University with a degree in physics and later completed a program at the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Public Policy. Ito began his career as a bureaucrat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2008, where he worked on security policy. He subsequently served as a policy secretary for lawmakers Mitsuru Sakurai and Yasuhisa Shiozaki. Before his election to the Diet in 2026, he held leadership roles at Aoyama Shachu Co., Ltd. and conducted research on Japanese foreign and security policy at Harvard University's Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. He currently represents the Minami-Kanto proportional block.
