中田慎也

Shinya Nakata is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Itami. Born in Itami, Hyogo, he graduated from Osaka University with a degree in engineering and previously worked in sales at Recruit. Nakata began his political career as a member of the Itami City Council in 2011, followed by three terms in the Hyogo Prefectural Assembly. In 2025, he was elected Mayor of Itami with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party. His policy platform includes promoting the construction of a new hospital, supporting children's extracurricular activities, and advocating for the introduction of international flights at Osaka International Airport.
