佐藤智

Satoshi Sato is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kurihara in Miyagi Prefecture. Born in 1957 in the former Tsukidate Town, he spent his early career as a local government official, holding various administrative positions within the Kurihara municipal office, including director of the finance and general affairs departments. He served as Deputy Mayor before being elected as Mayor in 2021, following a previous unsuccessful bid in 2017. He was re-elected to a second term in April 2025.
