Saud Anwar

Saud Anwar is an American physician and politician serving as a member of the Connecticut State Senate, representing the 3rd District. A pulmonary physician by profession, he previously served as the mayor of South Windsor, Connecticut, from 2013 to 2015 and again from 2017 to 2019. In the state senate, he holds the position of deputy president pro tempore and co-chairs the Public Health Committee. Anwar is a graduate of Yale University and Aga Khan University, and he focuses his legislative work on public health, insurance, and housing policy.
