Scott Barrett is an Australian politician currently serving as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council. Raised in the Central West region of New South Wales, he holds a degree in agricultural systems from Hawkesbury Agricultural College. Before entering politics, he worked as a radio presenter and reporter, a media adviser for federal MP Bob Katter, and a charity manager for GIVIT. Barrett was first appointed to the Legislative Council in 2022 to fill a casual vacancy, and after a brief period out of office following the 2023 state election, he was re-appointed to the chamber in 2024.
