Scott Stadthagen

Scott Stadthagen is an American politician serving as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives for the 9th district, a position he has held since 2018. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served as the House Majority Leader from 2023 to 2026 before being elected as the chair of the Alabama Republican Party in March 2026. Stadthagen is known for his conservative legislative agenda, having sponsored bills targeting transgender students and drag performances. He holds a B.S. from the University of West Alabama and previously owned a construction business.
