Sean Morton

Sean Morton is a former Scottish politician who served as a Labour councillor for the Fochabers Lhanbryde ward in Moray from 2012 to 2017. Educated at the University of Stirling, he previously worked as a parliamentary researcher and stood as the Labour candidate for Moray in the 2015 United Kingdom general election. Following his suspension from the Labour Party in 2017 due to criminal charges, he ran unsuccessfully as an independent candidate in the 2017 local elections. Morton has since been convicted of multiple sexual offences, including the possession of indecent images of children, and has served prison time for breaching a sexual offences prevention order.
