Sung-beom Shin is a South Korean politician currently serving as a three-term member of the National Assembly. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career as a journalist at KBS, where he served as a political reporter, Moscow correspondent, and news editor. First elected to the National Assembly in 2008, he has represented the Sancheong, Hamyang, and Geochang districts, later expanding his constituency to include Hapcheon. Throughout his legislative career, he has held various leadership roles, including chairing the Intelligence Committee and serving on the Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee. He is affiliated with the conservative People Power Party.
