Sequanna Taylor

Sequanna Taylor is an American politician, educator, and community organizer serving as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly for the 11th district since 2025. A lifelong resident of Milwaukee, she previously served on the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors starting in 2016 and held a seat on the Milwaukee Public Schools board of education. Before entering public office, she worked for 15 years in the Milwaukee Public Schools system and was active in the Milwaukee Teachers' Education Association. Her legislative priorities include advocating for disability rights and public safety initiatives, such as the proposed 'purple alert' system for domestic violence victims.
