Sevilay Çelenk Özen is a Turkish politician and academic currently serving as a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, representing Diyarbakir for the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party). Before entering politics, she was a faculty member at Ankara University and a visiting scholar at Tallinn University. An active member of the Academics for Peace, she faced dismissal from her university position in 2017 for her political activism. She holds a doctorate in communications and has authored numerous works on media and communication studies.
