Shama Tatler

Shama Tatler, Baroness Shah, is a British politician and teacher who serves as a member of the House of Lords. She made history in 2025 as the first Jain to be appointed to the House of Lords. A member of the Brent London Borough Council since 2014, she previously held the position of head of the Labour Group Office at the Local Government Association. Tatler is also the co-chair of the Labour To Win group and was the Labour candidate for Chingford and Woodford Green in the 2024 general election.
