Shamchunnahar Begum

Shamsun Nahar Begum is a Bangladeshi politician and lawyer who served as a Member of the Jatiya Sangsad from a reserved women's seat during the 10th parliamentary term from 2014 to 2018. Born in Ujanigaon village of Sunamganj District, she completed her education to earn a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws degree. After qualifying as a lawyer, she entered national politics as a candidate for the Bangladesh Awami League and successfully won her seat in the 2014 general elections.
