Shane Broad is an Australian politician, agricultural scientist, and former competitive rower. He currently serves as a member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly for the electorate of Braddon, having been first elected in 2017 and re-elected in 2025. Before entering state politics, Broad served as a councillor on the Central Coast Council and worked as an agricultural scientist at the University of Tasmania. As a rower, he achieved significant success, winning five national championships and representing Australia at multiple World Rowing Championships.
