Shane Rattenbury is an Australian politician who served as a member of the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly from 2008 to 2026. A prominent figure in the ACT Greens, he served as party leader from 2012 to 2026 and held various ministerial portfolios, including Attorney-General and Minister for Climate Change and Sustainability. Before entering politics, he worked for the Australian Government and served as the International Political Director of Greenpeace International. Rattenbury was the first member of a Green political party in the world to be elected as a parliamentary Speaker.
