Shankar Mandekar

Shankar Hiraman Mandekar is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for the Bhor constituency. Born in 1973, he rose to prominence in the 2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election, where he secured victory by defeating the three-time incumbent from the Indian National Congress. This win ended a fifteen-year hold by the Congress Party on the Bhor seat. Mandekar, who hails from the Pune District, completed his education at Sant Gora Kumbhar High School and Junior College.
