Born in 1982 in Kandakur village, Yadgir district, he is the son of the late former MLA Naganagouda Kandakur. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Chandrashekhar Education Society Degree College of Arts, Science, and a Bachelor of Business Management degree. He was elected to the legislative assembly in 2023 representing the Janata Dal (Secular) party.
