Sharon Dijksma

Sharon Dijksma is a Dutch politician serving as the Mayor of Utrecht since December 2020. A member of the Labour Party (PvdA), she previously held several national roles, including State Secretary for Education, Culture and Science, Economic Affairs, and Infrastructure and the Environment. She also served as an alderwoman in Amsterdam and was a long-time member of the House of Representatives, having first been elected at age 23. In 2023, she became the president of the Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG).
