Sherwin Gatchalian

Sherwin Gatchalian is a Filipino politician and businessman serving as the 34th President of the Senate of the Philippines since 2026. A member of the Nationalist People's Coalition, he has been a senator since 2016 and previously served as the mayor of Valenzuela and a member of the House of Representatives. Throughout his political career, Gatchalian has focused extensively on education reform, authoring key legislation such as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act and advocating for improved social services and good governance.
