Shigeharu Arai is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture. Born in 1953, he spent his early career as a civil servant in the Hanno City government, eventually serving as the city's Deputy Mayor. He was first elected as a member of the Hanno City Council in 2017 before winning the mayoral election in 2021.
