池田禎孝

Yoshitaka Ikeda is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Sakai in Fukui Prefecture. Born in 1962, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University. Before entering politics, he had a long career in the Fukui Prefectural Government, where he held various senior positions including Director of the Health and Welfare Department, Director of the Reinan Promotion Bureau, and Director of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Department. He retired from the prefectural government in December 2021 and was elected as the Mayor of Sakai in April 2022, securing his position with significant support.
