Shigeki Tokunaga is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture. Born in 1969, he previously served five terms as a member of the Ehime Prefectural Assembly, where he also held the position of Vice-Chairman. First elected as mayor in 2021, he has focused his administration on child-rearing support, including the implementation of the 'Imabari-style Neuvola' program, and aggressive efforts to attract new residents to the city. Under his leadership, Imabari has seen significant growth in migration and successfully exited the list of municipalities at risk of extinction. He was re-elected for a second term in 2025.
