Shigeki Igawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Hokota in Ibaraki Prefecture. Born in 1951 in Hokota, he graduated from the Ibaraki Prefectural Hokota First High School and the Ibaraki Prefectural Agricultural College. Before his election as mayor, he had a long career in local government, serving two terms as a member of the former Asahi Village assembly and five terms as a member of the Hokota City assembly, where he also held the position of assembly chair. He was elected mayor in October 2025 after defeating the incumbent, Kazuo Kishida, and officially assumed office in November 2025.
