Kazuhiko Shigetoku is a Japanese politician serving as a six-term member of the House of Representatives. Born in Toyota, Aichi, he graduated from the University of Tokyo and began his career as a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Home Affairs (now the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications). After leaving the bureaucracy, he entered politics and has held various leadership roles, including serving as the Policy Research Council Chairman for the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan and later joining the Chudo Kaikaku Rengo. Shigetoku is known for his focus on administrative reform and disaster management, often emphasizing a 'field-first' approach to policy.
