Shiho Ishiyama is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ono in Fukui Prefecture. Born in Anjo, Aichi Prefecture, she graduated from the University of Tokyo and began her career as an official at the Ministry of the Environment, where she worked on natural environment conservation. After moving to Ono, she served in the city's cultural property protection department. In 2018, she was elected as the first female municipal head in the Hokuriku region. She has since been re-elected twice, focusing on local infrastructure development and municipal administration. She is known for her decisive leadership, including the dismissal of a deputy mayor involved in a drunk driving incident to maintain public trust.
