山本深

Shin Yamamoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Hiroshima 5th district. Born in Hiroshima in 1985, he graduated from Keio University and began his career at Mitsubishi Corporation, later working for a subsidiary in the United Kingdom. He subsequently served as an executive at his family's business, Daishin Honten, before joining the Ministry of Finance in 2022. During his time as a bureaucrat, he held various positions, including assistant director roles in the International Bureau and the Customs and Tariff Bureau. In 2026, he was elected to the House of Representatives as a candidate for the Liberal Democratic Party, following a selection process supported by former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
