He subsequently served as an executive at his family's business, Daishin Honten, before joining the Ministry of Finance in 2022. During his time as a bureaucrat, he held various positions, including assistant director roles in the International Bureau and the Customs and Tariff Bureau. In 2026, he was elected to the House of Representatives as a candidate for the Liberal Democratic Party, following a selection process supported by former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
