Shozo Katayama is a Japanese politician and business executive currently serving as the Mayor of Nishiwaki in Hyogo Prefecture. Born in Nishiwaki, he graduated from Doshisha University and previously led the textile machinery trading company Katayama Shoten, where he received the Prime Minister's Award at the first Monozukuri Nippon Grand Awards in 2005. He was first elected as mayor in 2013 with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party and has since secured multiple re-elections, most recently winning his fourth term in 2025.
