Shuya Takahashi is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the Miyagi Prefectural Assembly representing Higashimatsushima. Before entering politics, he had a long career in the Higashimatsushima municipal government, where he served as the Director of the Reconstruction Policy Department and played a key role in the city's recovery efforts following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. He was first elected to the prefectural assembly in 2017 and continues to focus on disaster preparedness, urban development, and the promotion of renewable energy to build a sustainable future for the region.
