Sieghard Knodel

Sieghard Knodel is a German politician serving as a member of the 21st Bundestag. Originally elected in the 2025 federal election via the Alternative for Germany (AfD) state list for Baden-Württemberg, he resigned from the party and its parliamentary faction in May 2025. This decision followed the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution's classification of the AfD as a confirmed right-wing extremist organization. Knodel, who is a master agricultural machinery mechanic by trade, stated that he left the party to protect his business and family, and he continues to serve as an independent member of parliament.
