Siela Bynoe

Siela Bynoe is an American politician serving as a member of the New York State Senate for the 6th district, representing parts of Nassau County on Long Island. A member of the Democratic Party, she made history as the first Black woman to represent the Long Island region in the state senate. Prior to her election to the senate in 2024, Bynoe served in the Nassau County Legislature and on the Westbury Board of Education. Her career in public service has been marked by a focus on community advocacy and regional development.
