Sigrid Sengers

Sigrid Sengers is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Druten, a position she assumed on March 30, 2023. Prior to her mayoral appointment, she served as a municipal councilor in Groningen from 2002 to 2004 and as an alderman in Slochteren from 2004 to 2008, where she focused on healthcare, welfare, and tourism. Following her time in local government, she worked in Brussels as a lobbyist representing the interests of the Northern Netherlands provinces to the European Union. Sengers is a native of Deest, which is part of the municipality she now leads.
