Silke Launert

Silke Launert is a German politician and lawyer who has served as a member of the Bundestag representing Bayreuth since 2013. A member of the Christian Social Union (CSU), she has held the position of Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Research since 2025. Throughout her parliamentary career, she has been deeply involved in budget and internal affairs, notably serving on the Budget Committee and chairing its Subcommittee on European Affairs. Launert, who holds a Ph.D. in law, is known for her conservative policy stances and was a founding member of the Liberal-Conservative Circle, which opposed potential coalitions with the Green Party. She remains an active figure in both federal legislative work and regional supervisory boards.
