Sin Sang-jin is a South Korean politician and physician currently serving as the Mayor of Seongnam. A former four-term member of the National Assembly, he previously represented the Seongnam Jungwon-gu constituency. During his legislative career, he chaired the Science, ICT, Future Planning, Broadcasting, and Communications Committee and held leadership roles within the People Power Party and its predecessors. Before entering politics, he was a prominent labor activist and served as the 32nd President of the Korean Medical Association. As mayor, he has focused on administrative normalization and fiscal management, achieving high financial self-reliance rankings for Seongnam.
