İsmail Emrah Karayel is a Turkish politician and member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, representing the Justice and Development Party (AK Party). Born in 1978 in Istanbul, he holds degrees from Marmara University, Kent State University, and the University of Kent, specializing in criminal and international trade law. Before his parliamentary career, he served as the General President of the National Turkish Student Union. He is the son of former Kayseri MP Yaşar Karayel and has been active in the AK Party's foreign relations department.
