Sofie Joosen

Sofie Joosen is a Belgian politician and member of the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA). Born in 1986, she began her career as a dental assistant before entering local politics in Duffel. Joosen served as the mayor of Duffel, gaining national attention as the youngest mayor in Belgium at the time of her appointment in 2018. Since 2014, she has served as a member of the Flemish Parliament representing the Antwerp constituency, where she focuses primarily on housing policy and regional development.
