Somendra Tomar is an Indian politician and a member of the 17th and 18th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh, representing the Meerut South constituency. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he began his political career in student politics at Chaudhary Charan Singh University, where he was active with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Dr. Tomar holds a Ph.D. and has served as a Minister of State in the Government of Uttar Pradesh under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
