Soumya Bourouaha

Soumya Bourouaha is a French politician serving as a member of the National Assembly for the 4th constituency of Seine-Saint-Denis since 2022. Born in Algeria, she moved to France as an infant and later became a naturalized citizen. Before her parliamentary career, she worked as a model maker and a teacher in specialized education sections (SEGPA), and served for 12 years as a deputy mayor of La Courneuve, where she was responsible for cultural affairs. A member of the French Communist Party, she is associated with the Left and Republican Democrat group and focuses on cultural and educational policy.
