Stefanos Stefanou

Stefanos Stefanou is a Cypriot politician who has served as the General Secretary of the Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL) since 2021 and as a member of the House of Representatives of Cyprus since 2016. Born in Gerolakkos, he studied political science in Sofia, Bulgaria, before beginning his career with the United Democratic Youth Organisation. He previously served as a Special Adviser to the President of the House of Representatives and as Government Spokesperson under the administration of Demetris Christofias. Stefanou represents the Nicosia District and holds various committee roles, including leadership positions in parliamentary delegations.
