Steffen Amme

Steffen Amme is a German local politician currently serving as the Lord Mayor of Aschersleben. Born in 1977 in Staßfurt, he pursued a career in biology and holds a degree as a qualified biologist. Before his election as mayor, he was active in local governance, including serving as the chairman of the administrative board of the Aschersleben cultural institution. He assumed office on July 12, 2022, after winning a runoff election with nearly 63 percent of the vote, succeeding long-time incumbent Andreas Michelmann.
