Stéphane Hazée is a Belgian politician born in Liège on May 3, 1975, and a member of the Ecolo party. He holds a degree in public administration and a teaching aggregation in social sciences, having previously worked as a researcher at the University of Liège (ULg) and FNRS focusing on public services and local authorities. Active in politics for many years as a political director and chief of staff, he became a Walloon MP and member of the Parliament of the French Community of Belgium in March 2012, and has since been repeatedly re-elected, notably serving as group leader for Ecolo in the Walloon Parliament.
