Stephanie Flowers is an American attorney and Democratic politician serving as a member of the Arkansas Senate. First elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives in 2004, she transitioned to the State Senate in 2011. A graduate of Philander Smith College and the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, she previously worked as a private practice attorney and a deputy prosecutor for the juvenile court in Jefferson County. Flowers gained national attention in 2019 for her passionate defense of legislative debate during a committee hearing on a 'stand your ground' gun control bill.
