Stephen Owens

Stephen Owens is an American politician and businessman currently serving as a member of the Kansas Senate, having assumed office in 2025. Prior to his election to the Senate, he served in the Kansas House of Representatives representing the 74th district from 2019 to 2025. Outside of his legislative career, Owens has a background in business and public service, including work as a CPA, a captain in the Hesston Fire Department, and as a co-founder of Axis Monitoring LLC. He also operates a bail bonds business with locations in Wichita and Emporia.
