Steve Carra

Steve Carra is an American politician serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives since 2021, currently representing the 36th district. Born and raised in Southwest Michigan, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from Western Michigan University. Before his election, he worked in the office of State Representative Steve Johnson and as a research assistant at the Acton Institute. Carra is known for his conservative legislative agenda, including the introduction of fetal heartbeat protection legislation and his opposition to child marriage bans and same-sex marriage.
