Steve Gander

Steve Gander is an American politician and optometrist currently serving as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives for District 1B, having assumed office in January 2025. Prior to his election to the state legislature, he served as the mayor of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, from 2017 to 2025. Gander entered the state legislature after the incumbent Republican representative, Deb Kiel, declined to seek re-election. He continues to balance his legislative duties with his professional background in optometry.
