Steve Stadelman

Steve Stadelman is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Illinois Senate, representing the 34th district since 2013. Born in 1960 and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in journalism. Prior to his political career, Stadelman worked for two decades as a television reporter and anchor in the Rockford area. In the Illinois General Assembly, he holds leadership roles on several committees, including serving as the Chairman of the Energy and Public Utilities Committee.
