Steven H. Stern is an American politician currently serving as a member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 10th district which includes parts of Babylon and Huntington in Suffolk County. A member of the Democratic Party, Stern was first elected in a 2018 special election, becoming the first Democrat to hold the seat in 40 years. Prior to his state legislative service, he served on the Suffolk County Legislature for over a decade and worked as an attorney specializing in elder law.
