Joe DeStefano

Joe DeStefano is an American politician serving as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 3rd district since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he represents portions of Suffolk County on Long Island, including Brookhaven, Bellport, and Mastic Beach. Before his election to the state legislature, DeStefano worked as a public safety communication supervisor for the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office and served as a commissioner for the Medford Fire District, where he has been an active member since 1980. He currently serves on several committees, including those focused on aging, labor, transportation, and governmental employees.
