Steven McNeel is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Georgia State Senate, representing the 18th district. A member of the Republican Party, he assumed office in February 2026 following a special election held to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of John F. Kennedy. In the special election runoff, McNeel secured his seat by defeating his opponent with 59.4% of the vote. His district encompasses Crawford, Monroe, Peach, and Upson counties, as well as portions of Bibb and Houston counties.
